OVERVIEW
Directly in front of the Hoover Memorial Exhibit Pavilion stands a large granite sundial encircled by the words, Engineer — Humanitarian — Statesman — Public Servant — Author, HERBERT HOOVER 1874–1964. Today, Hoover fellows continue the drive for excellence demonstrated by the Institution's founder; many have been recognized for their outstanding scholarship and leadership.

The strength of Hoover's research program lies in recruiting scholars of exceptional ability from the disciplines of economics, history, law, political science, and sociology.
