NATIONAL SECURITY AND LAW

The Hoover Task Force on National Security and Law assembles a group of outstanding scholars to generate practical proposals for striking the optimal balance, consistent with the U.S. Constitution, between national security and individual freedom. This balancing is one of the critical challenges posed by the war against Islamic extremism. The task force seeks to influence policy, shape legislation, and inform and elevate the public debate.

Peter Berkowitz serves as chair of the National Security and Law Task Force.
